Why can’t we talk in class?
I promise, our voices won’t shatter the glass.
Waiting for the bell to ring at last.
Why can’t we talk in class?

It gets more boring as the seconds pass by
I really, badly want to cry,
Really, our voices aren’t made of brass,
So why can’t we talk in class?

All the goody-goody girls see that we don’t,
So, I can’t and I tell them I won’t.
